Before the Free Accounting installation process will begin you need to be sure that you have the following software installed on your computer:
- Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher.
- MSDE Microsoft's SQL Desktop Engine 2000 (Free From Microsoft) or Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
The Free Accounting Installer includes MSDE. Installation of MSDE is optional. If you have MSSQL or have already installed MSDE you will not be required to re-install MSDE, you can use your existing installation.
To install the Free Accounting software on your computer you should follow the steps of the installation wizard.
Run the install.msi to setup the Free Accounting application.
Run the Free Accounting installation file.
- The Free Accounting welcome screen wizard will appear. Press the Next button.
- Agree to the terms of the Free Accounting licence agreement to continue the installation process. Press the Next button.
- Select the type of the Free Accounting installation that you want to run. You have the following options:
- Free Accounting Complete Installation - This option installs the Free Accounting software and database engine files on to the computer. Use this type of installation when you install the Free Accounting software for the first time.
- Free Accounting Custom Installation - This type of the Free Accounting installation is for advanced users or users who already have MSDE or MSSQL on their network.
