Before the Free Accounting installation process will begin you need to be sure that you have the following
software installed on your computer:
- Microsoft Data Active Components(MDAC) 2.8 . It can be downloaded from www.microsoft.com.
Microsoft SQL Desktop Engine 2000 (MSDE). The Free Accounting Installer includes MSDE. Installation of MSDE is optional.
If you have MSSQL Server or have already installed MSDE you will not be required to re-install MSDE, you can use your existing
version.
To install the Free Accounting software follow the steps provided below:
- Send request for the Free Accounting download link on
http://www.freeaccountingsoftware.net/download.aspx. Fill in the First Name, Last Name,
E-mail Address and Country fields with the necessary information.
Note: Please, do not use Hotmail addresses when sending request for the installation file.
- Download the software using the link sent to you via e-mail and save it to the appropriate location.
- Double click on the downloaded file to run the Free Accounting installation.
- The Free Accounting welcome screen window will appear. Click the Next button.
- Agree to the terms of the Free Accounting license agreement to continue the installation process.
Click the Next button.
- On the Installation Type step of the installation wizard select one of two types of the installation
and click the Next button:
- Standard - The installation wizard will automatically configure
Free Accounting installation process for you. It will quickly and easily install Free Accounting
application and data to your local machine. Recommended for Free Accounting newbies.
- Advanced - Choose this option to change default installation
settings. It will allow you to connect to existing MS SQL Server on your machine or on local
network. Recommended for advanced users.
