The main Free Accounting working screen has the following look:
The Title Bar displays the name of the currently opened window in the Free Accounting application.
The Menu Bar displays a list of commands for working in Free Accounting. Some of
these commands have images next to them so you can quickly associate the command with the image. Most Free Accounting menus are located at the top of the screen. Toolbars can contain buttons, menus, or their combination.
The Button Bar displays a list of most frequently used Free Accounting commands. For more information about
it see the Free Accounting Button Bar window.
On the Navigation Bar you can change the view mode of Free Accounting main working window. See more
information about it in the Navigation bar window.
On the Open Window Bar you can switch between several opened windows in the Free Accounting application.
The same list of opened Free Accounting windows can be found in the Window menu of the Menu Bar. By clicking on the button with the window name, you can easily switch to that window. All currently opened windows are organized in a row, but you can set the Tile or Cascade windows order from the Window menu.
The Navigation Pane provides you with Tree navigation through Free Accounting. Here the main information available from the Menu Bar is organized in a tree structure with 7 logical groups or commands: Company, Vendors, Customers, Inventory, Banking, Reports and Help. You can quickly navigate between these groups by clicking the appropriate icons at the bottom of the Navigation Pane.
The Preview Pane displays the information.
