Note: This feature is available only to registered users.
If you want to change the language of the Free Accounting Interface you should select View / Language from the Free Accounting main menu.
To add a new language use the Language Editor which is situated in the Free Accounting / Languages
folder or select View / Language / Run Language Editor from the main menu.
Note: All the reports will be displayed in English as Free Accounting doesn't support the reports translation.
- The Language Editor window will appear.
- Click the Open button on the main toolbar or select File / Open from the main menu.
- In the Open window select the .xml file in the Languages folder, which will be used as a template for the new language (for example, Russian.xml file). Click the Open button.
- Two columns will appear in the Language Editor window. The Default column will be filled with the names of the Free Accounting fields in English, the Russian column will be filled with the names of the fields translated in Russian.
- Select File / Save As from the main menu. In the Save As window save the file with the name of the new language you want to create in Free Accounting.
- Select File / New from the main menu. Type the name of the new language in to the Language field of the Add Language window. Click OK.
- The blank column for the new language you want to create will appear. Translate the fields in the Default column in your language and fill in the fields of the New Language column.
- Click the Add button on the main toolbar to add a new blank line. (To have the Add button displayed on the main toolbar select View / Advanced view )
- Click the Delete button on the main toolbar to delete the unnecessary line. (To have the Delete button displayed on the main toolbar select View / Advanced view )
- Click the Save button on the main toolbar or select File / Save from the main menu to save the changes made.
