This option will automatically configure Free Accounting installation process for you. It will quickly
and easily install Free Accounting application and data to your local machine. This option is recommended
if you are installing Free Accounting for the first time or you if you are installing the software
in to the local machine and do not want to use it on the network.
This option installs the Free Accounting software, Microsoft SQL Desktop Engine (MSDE) (if it was not
installed before) and database files in to the computer. The MSSQL Server (MSDE) is automatically downloaded from
the internet (42.3 MB).
Please refer to the Free Accounting Installation topic to find
out how to start the installation.
- Specify the folder to install Free Accounting to. To install to a different folder, either type in a new path,
or click the Browse button to browse for an existing folder. Make sure, that you have enough free space
on the hard drive.
- Click the Next button.
- Select the folder the Free Accounting shortcut icons will be created in. Leave the default value or, if necessary,
select another folder from the Shortcut folder drop-down.
The shortcut might be installed either for the current user only or for all users of the Windows system. Select
one of the options below:
- Install shortcuts for current user only;
- Make shortcuts available to all users.
Note: If you are using Windows 98 or Millennium, the options given above will be not displayed and the
shortcuts will be available to all users by default.
- Click the Next button to proceed with the Free Accounting installation.
- The Ready to Install window will be displayed. Click the Next button to proceed with the installation.
Click the Back button to return to the previous steps of the installation, in case you want to change the
installation settings.
Note: If you do not have the Microsoft SQL Desktop Engine (MSDE) installed on your computer, you will have the
downloading process displayed on the screen. The MSDE installation file will be searched for on your computer
and, if it is not found, it will be downloaded from the Systems Online Inc. site.
The Free Accounting MSDE Setup will appear. Refer to the MSDE Installation
page for more information.
- Press the Finish button on the Free Accounting is installed successfully screen.
