In the Free Accounting Accountant and Taxes Reports folder, you can find the following reports:
- Account Report
- Account Listing Report
- General Ledger Report
- Journal Report
- Transaction Detail by Account Report
- Transaction List by Date Report
- Trial Balance Report
- Income Statement Standard Report (for registered users)
- Income Statement Detail Report (for registered users)
Free Accounting Account Report
The Account Report shows the balance for the specific account.
In the Amount column, there is a dollar amount of a separate transaction. Upon its completion there is the total amount as a sum of the transactions made during indicated period of time.
To open this report, select Reports / Accountant and Taxes / Account Report on the Free Accounting menu.
Choose the report parameters:
- Select the period you want the report to be displayed for. (For more information refer to the Date Ranges page)
- Select the account from the drop-down menu the report will be created on.
- Click the Preview button.
Type - The type of the transaction.
Date - The date the transaction took place.
Num - The number of the transaction in the system.
Name - The name of the contact the transaction is associated with.
Memo - The additional information about the transaction.
Split - The number of the account affected by the transaction.
Amount - The amount of the transaction.
Balance - The account balance after each transaction.
Total - The total balance for the account.
Free Accounting Account Listing Report
The Account Listing Report displays the balances of all the accounts in the system.
It shows the information that you can view in the Chart of Accounts window.
To open this report, select Reports / Accountant and Taxes / Account Listing on the Free Accounting menu.
Choose the report parameters:
- Select the date you want the report to be displayed for.
- Click the Preview button.
Account - The number of the account.
Type - The type of the account.
Balance - The current balance of the account.
Description - The description of the account.
Free Accounting General Ledger Report
The General Ledger Report shows the list of the transactions for the selected period grouped by accounts.
that were made during the fixed date range.
To open this report, select Reports / Accountant and Taxes / General Ledger on the Free Accounting menu.
Choose the report parameters:
- Select the period you want the report to be displayed for. (For more information refer to the Date Ranges page)
- Click the Preview button.
Type - The type of the transaction.
Date - The date the transaction took place.
Num - The number of the transaction in the system.
Name - The name of the Customer/Vendor the transaction is associated with.
Memo - The additional information about the transaction.
Split - The number of the account affected by the transaction.
Amount - The amount of the transaction.
Balance - The account balance after each transaction.
Total - The total balance for the account.
Free Accounting Journal Report
The Journal Report shows the list of the transactions that were made during the selected period.
To open this report, select Reports | Accountant and Taxes | Journal on the Free Accounting menu.
Choose the report parameters:
- Select the period you want the report to be displayed for. (For more information refer to the Date Ranges page)
- Select the transaction number you want to view the report for from the Trans # drop-down list. Select All to view the report for all the transactions.
- Click the Preview button.
Trans # - The number of the transaction.
Type - The type of the transaction.
Date - The date the transaction took place.
Num - The number of the transaction in the system.
Name - The name of the contact the transaction is associated with.
Memo - The additional information about the transaction.
Account - The number of the account affected by the transaction.
Debit - The debit amount of the transaction.
Credit - The credit amount of the transaction.
Free Accounting Transaction Detail by Account Report
The Transaction Detail by Account Report shows the list of transactions for the selected period grouped by accounts.
To open this report, select Reports | Accountant and Taxes | Transaction Detail by Account on the Free Accounting menu.
Choose the report parameters:
- Select the period you want the report to be displayed for. (For more information refer to the Date Ranges page)
- Click the Preview button.
Type - The type of the transaction.
Date - The date the transaction took place.
Num - The number of the transaction in the system.
Name - The name of the contact the transaction is associated with.
Memo - The additional information about the transaction.
Clr - Shows whether the transaction was reconciled in the Free Accounting software.(For more information view the Bank Reconciliation page)
Split - The number of the account affected by the transaction.
Amount - The amount of the transaction.
Balance - The account balance after each transaction.
Total - The total balance for the account.
Free Accounting Transaction List by Date Report
Transaction List by Date Report displays the list of the transactions grouped by date that were made during the selected period.
To open this report, select Reports / Accountant and Taxes / Transaction List by Date on the Free Accounting menu.
Choose the report parameters:
- Select the period you want the report to be displayed for. (For more information refer to the Date Ranges page)
- Click the Preview button.
Type - The type of the transaction.
Date - The date the transaction took place.
Num - The number of the transaction in the system.
Name - The name of the contact the transaction is associated with.
Memo - The additional information about the transaction.
Account - The number of the account affected by the transaction.
Clr - Shows whether the transaction was reconciled in the Free Accounting software.(For more information view the Bank Reconciliation page)
Split - The number of the split account affected by the transaction.
Amount - The amount of the transaction.
Free Accounting Trial Balance Report
The Trial Balance Report shows the listing of the account balances.
To open this report, select Reports / Accountant and Taxes / Trial Balance on the Free Accounting menu.
Choose the report parameters:
- Select the period you want the report to be displayed for. (For more information refer to the Date Ranges page)
- Click the Preview button.
This report verifies that the requirements of the double-entry accounting are met.
The total amounts of the Debit and the Credit columns of the Trial Balance report should be equal. If it is true, the company accounting is balanced.
Free Accounting Income Statement Standard Report
Note: This feature is available only to registered users.
The Income Statement Standard Report shows income, expenses, and net income or net loss for a period of time.
To open this report, select Reports / Accountant and Taxes / Income Statement Standard on the Free Accounting menu.
Choose the report parameters:
- Select the period you want the report to be displayed for. (For more information refer to the Date Ranges page)
- Check the Show Posted check box to view the balance formed with posted entries only.
- Click the Preview button.
The comparison of income and expenses shows either net income or net loss.
When total income exceeds total expenses, the difference shows net income.
Free Accounting Income Statement Detail Report
Note: This feature is available only to registered users.
The Income Statement Detail Report displays income, expenses, and net income or net loss for a period of time in detail.
To open this report, select Reports / Accountant and Taxes / Income Statement Detail on the Free Accounting menu.
Choose the report parameters:
- Select the period you want the report to be displayed for. (For more information refer to the Date Ranges page)
- Check the Show Posted check box to view the balance formed with posted entries only.
- Click the Preview button.
Type - The type of the transaction.
Date - The date the transaction took place.
Num - The number of the transaction in the system.
Name - The name of the contact the transaction is associated with.
Memo - The additional information about the transaction.
Clr - Shows whether the transaction was reconciled in the Free Accounting software.(For more information view the Bank Reconciliation page)
