In the current Free Accounting window a bill can be created. Open this window using
Menu Bar / Vendors / Bills List or selecting it from the Navigation pane
by pressing the Vendors button on the Commands Panel and selecting Bills List.
Use the following steps to create a bill in the Billls List window:
- Right click in the Preview Pane and select Add.
- Enter the required information into the fields of the New Bill window.
Vendor - The person who sells some product, he is to be chosen from the drop-down list. To add a new vendor, go to the New Vendor window, by selecting Add New from the drop-down.
Memo - Enter any notes about the current bill in to this field.
Reference # - The number of the reference document.
Bill # - The number of the current bill that is auto-assigned by the Free Accounting application.
Date - The date the current bill was created.
Terms - The terms agreed between the Vendor and your company, they are to be selected from the drop-down list.
To add new terms, go to the New Terms window, by selecting Add New from the Terms drop-down.
Due date - The date by which the bill should be paid.
The following fields are to be filled in the grid:
Account - The name of the account from which the money are taken to pay the bill. To add a new account, go to the New Account window, by selecting Add New from the drop-down.
Description - The description of the bill.
Amount - The amount paid to the vendor on the current bill.
Comments - Your personal comments about the bill.
- Save or approve the bill using the Documents Toolbar.
