Interface Overview
Free Accounting installation wizard will create the accounting shortcut on your desktop. Double click on it to run the application. Select or enter a Server Name, enter user name, password of the employee and select the Database on the Server. Press OK button.

By default the Company navigator appears every time you open the application.

By default the Free Accounting application has basic working window with following elements:
  • Title Bar where the name of current open window is displayed
  • Menu Bar which contains all commands for working in Free Accounting
  • Button Bar which contains frequenty used commands for working in Free Accounting
  • Navigation Bar where you can change the view mode of your main working window.
  • Open Window Bar where you can switch between several opened windows. The same list of opened windows as in Window menu bar.
  • Navigation Pane with commands for changing the appearance of main working area.
  • Context Pane the part where the information is shown.
  • Title Bar displays the name of currently opened window.
    A Menu Bar displays a list of commands. Some of these commands have images next to them so you can quickly associate the command with the image. Most menus are located at the top of the screen. Toolbars can contain buttons, menus, or a combination of both.
    A Button Bar displays a list of most frequently used commands.
    For example, to create the new document or a new player press the New button on the Button bar and select the appropriate image.


    A Navigation bar
    If you want to change the view mode of the working area press the Navigation pane button and choose the way you want the icons be sorted.
    Using buttons on current toolbar you can navigate throug opened windows or going back to the window from which you have started.

    A Open Window Bar where you can switch between several opened windows. By clicking on the button with the window name you can easily switch to that window. All your currently opened windows are organized in a row.

    A Navigation Pane opens the associated Navigator window. For example, clicking the Company List you see all the information about all companies that you have. By right click you can modify the information in the list.
    When you are ready to close the application select File | Log off and then close the application.
